Medium Roast Coffees

Medium roast coffees have a darker brown color than either the light medium or light roasted coffees. You will not see any oils on the beans, but they will start to look smoother in texture than the lighter roasts. The slightly darker roast brings out more aromas but does start to mask the nuanced natural flavors. You will notice more typical coffee notes like chocolate and caramel and may begin to see more bitterness and less acidity. This roast is extremely popular for mainstream coffee houses and coffees with this roast are typically used as the base for most coffee drinks. These coffees tend to be more balanced in flavors with more body and are easy to drink.
