Grown in Bali, Indonesia, in the sub-region of Bangli, these typical coffee beans are grown at altitudes that range from 2,200 – 3,000 feet above sea level. This gourmet coffee derives a lot of its flavor from the rich volcanic soil in which it is grown. Tended to by local Balinese farmers to whom farming is a way of life, the coffee cherries are hand harvested and wet processed. Being hand harvested ensures that only ripe cherries are picked. Unripe cherries are left to ripen on the trees, after which they will be harvested. The wet process method washes away excess acidity, further enhancing the flavor, to yield a gourmet brew that is welcome on even the most delicate palates.
