Japanese Sencha Green Tea

Considered one of the finest teas available, this traditional tea is used in ceremonial tastings. The tightly rolled leaves are steamed to prevent fermentation. Once steeped, the brew is greenish-yellow with a vegetal seaweed or grass-like flavor. It is perfectly balanced between sweet and astringent. For a delicious cup, steep one teaspoon in six ounces of 170 degree water for one to two minutes. Available in regular and decaf.
