Tisane
For a caffeine-free beverage option, consider tisanes. Also known as herbal infusions, our tisanes start with a blend of hibiscus leaves and rosehips. We add other natural herbs, flowers, and fruits to create some of the most refreshing brews available. The natural sweetness and naturally occurring Vitamin C make tisanes a healthier alternative to soft drinks and high-calorie juices.

One cup preparation: 1 1/2 teaspoon of tisane per cup. Boiling water to fill. Steep the tisane for 3-7 minutes. Strain. Sweeten to taste. (You may want to taste your tisane before adding sweetener as tisanes are naturally sweet.)
One pot preparation: 2 1/2 teaspoons of tisane for the pot. Boiling water to fill. Steep 3-7 minutes (longer for a stronger flavor). Strain. Sweeten to taste.
Do not add milk or cream to your tisane. Due to the ingredients in this blend, the milk will curdle.
Iced preparation: For 1 quart (1 liter) use 12 teaspoons of tisane in a heat-resistant container. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tisane. Steep for 5 minutes. Fill serving pitcher quarter full with cold water. Pour tisane into serving pitcher, straining the mixture. Add ice and top with more cold water as needed. (Do not pour hot tisane directly into glass pitcher.) Sweeten to taste.
